Night Sky Journey

Night Sky Journey

Sunday 19 July 2026

Join us on this celebration tour: Our local Dark Sky Reserve has been officially recognised!

Come along on our first stargazing experience since the announcement to benefit from our exclusive introductory ticket price and claim your free gift! In addition to a wonderful evening’s stargazing—where you will see amazing sights overhead and learn how to read the stars yourself—we are also giving every passenger their very own red-light torch… Perfect for preserving your night vision on future stargazing experiences! Enjoy an eye-opening evening, now and in the future in this accredited Dark Sky region.

Our tour departs from the Montville Tourist Information Centre Bus Zone and begins with beautiful views of sunset over the Glass House Mountains. Watch the colours change and learn about the play of light in our atmosphere as an introduction to the night sky. Next, enjoy a warming long-table supper of soup and breads (dietary options available) as the skies darken fully.

We then walk out to our viewing location, where the stage has been set, using careful lighting to preserve your night vision and make the skies feel so much closer. Use state-of-the-art telescope technology, level up your naked-eye viewing, and ask questions of our astronomer in a friendly small-group setting.

These tours will rekindle your wonder at the stars above and create incredible memories for you to take home.

See features of the night sky in incredible detail on the accessible viewing screen attached to our live telescope.

Our astronomer, Tyson Purdie, takes incredible silhouette images against the night sky! Have your portrait taken under the stars for only $20 as an exclusive option on this tour.
