Connect with our place in the cosmos on this fascinating small-group tour

Come along for an evening of exploration and fascinating details as we travel the universe with our very own astronomer as our guide! Hear stories of the stars, discover incredible phenomena, and take home new skills for at-home stargazing as well as amazing memories. The winter skies of our internationally-accredited Dark Sky region are the perfect place for an interstellar journey.

Our tour departs from the Montville Tourist Information Centre Bus Zone and begins with beautiful views of sunset over the Glass House Mountains. Watch the colours change and learn about the play of light in our atmosphere as an introduction to the night sky. Next, enjoy a warming long-table supper of soup and breads (dietary options available) as the skies darken fully.

We then walk out to our viewing location, where the stage has been set, using careful lighting to preserve your night vision and make the skies feel so much closer. Use state-of-the-art telescope technology, level up your naked-eye viewing, and ask questions of our astronomer in a friendly small-group setting.

These eye-opening tours will rekindle your wonder at the stars above and create incredible memories for you to take home!

See features of the night sky in incredible detail on the accessible viewing screen attached to our live telescope.

Our astronomer, Tyson Purdie, takes incredible silhouette images against the night sky! Have your portrait taken under the stars for only $20 as an exclusive option on this tour.
